House ofPaaro

Where value meets value, privately.

Paaro is where owners exchange what they have for what they want. A car for farmland, a Birkin for a Patek, a plot for a home. Asset for asset, never for cash, and never with your name on it.

The Exchange, live Members are making offers across Lagos, Abuja and Accra.

A private exchange where Africa's owners trade asset for asset, never for cash.

Pààrọ̀ is Yoruba for "to exchange". Owners of cars, land, homes, watches, jewellery, handbags, art and yachts use House of Paaro to turn what they no longer need into what they want next. Without a sale, without a bank, and without anyone knowing who they are.

    Exchange, asset for asset

Accept an offer, ask for more, combine assets in a bundle, or join a three-way exchange we arrange.

  4. 4

    Privately, and safely

You are known to us, never to each other. A legal partner holds both assets until title has passed.

Across Africa, great wealth sits still: in cars, in land, in jewellery locked away. Banks will not lend against it, and selling it means a poor price.

House of Paaro is a private exchange where owners trade asset for asset. No cash changes hands. A Range Rover becomes five hectares in Epe. A Birkin becomes a Patek Philippe. A Banana Island plot becomes a home in Accra.

Every asset is inspected, valued and authenticated by our own specialists before it is offered. Every member is known to us. Nobody is known to each other.

Just tell us what you have.
We bring the interest to you.

Paaro Intelligence reads what every member owns and what every member wants. When your asset is listed, the owners who would take it are already known to us, and their offers come to you.

Nobody browses for months. Nobody advertises. Supply and demand meet quietly, and often in three-way exchanges that no one could have arranged alone.

One exchange. No cash, no names.

From the drawer to the exchange, in six steps.

  1. Photograph

Take a few pictures of your asset on your phone and send them to us from the app.

  2. Visit

A Paaro valuer comes to you, inspects the asset, photographs it properly and sets a reference value.

  3. Authenticate

An authenticator confirms that the asset is genuine, that it is yours, and that it carries no lien, dispute or defect.

  4. List

Your asset enters the Exchange. You immediately see how many members are seeking something like it, and where.

  5. Offer

Members offer their own authenticated assets. You can ask them to add more, compare competing offers, or accept a multi-party exchange.

  6. Transfer

An accredited legal partner holds both assets in custody and completes the title transfer. Only then is anything released.

Values rarely match. Exchanges still can.

Offer a watch and a bracelet for one car. Combine assets until the exchange feels right.
Competing offers
When several members want the same asset, the owner sees every offer side by side, and rivals can add to theirs.

Close but not quite? Ask the other member to add something from their portfolio.
Exchange circles
Our matching finds circles of three or four members, where each gives one asset and receives the one they wanted.

Every member completes identity and source-of-wealth checks with House of Paaro before they can list or offer.

Complete anonymity

Members see only an alias, a tier and the assets themselves. Names, faces and addresses are never shared between members.

Custody, not trust

Assets move only through an accredited legal partner, who holds both sides until every title has transferred.

      Asked often.

Can I buy or sell for cash?

No. House of Paaro is an exchange of assets only. The only money involved is our valuation fee, the exchange commission and your legal partner's fee.

What if the values are not equal?

The reference value is a guide, not a price. You decide what an asset is worth to you. Offers can combine several assets, and our matching can propose a circle of three or four members so that everyone receives what they wanted.

Will the other member know who I am?

No. Members see an alias, a tier and the assets. Your identity is held only by House of Paaro and, at transfer, by the legal partner.

Can I join if I have nothing to list yet?

Yes. You can browse the Exchange and record what you are seeking. To make an offer, you need at least one authenticated asset of your own.

How long does an exchange take?

Moveable assets such as watches, jewellery and handbags usually complete within two weeks. Vehicles take two to four weeks. Land and property depend on title, and typically take six to twelve weeks.

      Where do you operate?

Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt today, with valuers in Accra and Nairobi. Assets elsewhere in Africa can be valued by arrangement.
